Lanette Espy, a lifelong resident of New Jersey, is a 2x Emmy-nominated and NYABJ award-winning journalist. With over a decade of experience in newsrooms, she is currently a social media producer for News 12 where she manages and produces engaging content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.

While leveraging her expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop, Lanette collaborates with talent, producers, and managers to create and share impactful social media content while maintaining a strategic social calendar. She is committed to enhancing social media performance through data-driven insights while covering news in the tri-state area and trending news nationwide.

Before joining News 12, Lanette worked as a digital producer with Gannett/USA Today Network. She also previously worked at WBGO radio station as a freelance news reporter and has a background in copywriting and blogging.
