Lanette Espy is an award-winning multimedia journalist and blogger. Her editorial work - which focuses on local news, entertainment, and features - has appeared in The Record, NorthJersey.com, 201 Magazine, APP.com, Herald News, The Daily Record, WBGO 88.3 FM, and more.

This New Jersey native holds a B.A. in journalism & media studies from Rutgers University. With more than a combined 215,000 social media followers, Lanette continues to grow her personal brand OooLaLaBlog.com while working full-time as a digital producer at News 12.

Since 2011, OooLaLaBlog.com has made a splash on social media and has been referenced by BET Her (formerly Centric TV), NJ.com, Bossip, VH1, and many other credible sites.

Lanette has appeared on TMZ Live!, The Mel Robbins Show, Hot 98.1 FM, and OMGossip. She's interviewed a number of celebrities, including Tyrese, Lee Daniels, WWE star R-Truth, and more. She's covered a number of media events and concerts, including 2018 BET Awards weekend in Los Angeles, Nas' exclusive album listening party in Queens, and Rolling Loud NYC festival.

In addition, she has worked with Grammy Award-winning singer LaTavia Roberson as a special weekly co-host on her former radio show The Naked Truth where she dished on celebrity news and gossip.

Before News 12, Lanette worked as a digital producer for Gannett/USA Today Network as part of the Digital Optimization Team. While at USA Today, she also served as the producer for Under The Ring podcast. She even had a short stint as a brand ambassador for MSG Network, helping to promote the New Jersey Devils.

Lanette is a dog lover, a huge fan of professional wrestling, and has a passion for travel. In the future, she looks forward to adding "author" to her resume and checking more items off her bucket list.
